This week takes us to Bubwith which lies on the east of Yorkshire area around 181 miles back into Lanarkshire winning loft this week. The 4,250 birds were liberated at 8am in no wind, the weather was good with temperature around 19 degrees. The winners were recording 4 hours 02 minutes recording a velocity of 1321 with a photo finish at the top with first two on the same yard.

The race was a more of a test for the majority of the birds with plenty scattered throughout the coming hours after the first birds appeared. Number of birds reported with injuries so they encountered problems on route. This could have an impact on next weeks convoy to Worksop.

Full report with Photos here

This weeks winner are Wilson & Cairns partnership. The partnership race to two separate loft locations, racing each individually in racing Loft 1 & 2 .I phoned Robert Cairns who confirmed that the winning pigeon was based in the loft managed at his Wishaw loft managed by his Dad Bobby. Robert said the garden space in both gardens is small so hence the need for two locations. The other loft is in Newarthill.

Robert said the winner is managed by his Dad Bobby and is a yearling Blue cock named" Birthday Boy "raced on the traditional widowhood system,28 cocks have raced this season(Usually 24) and had six short training flights to sixteen miles south east of loft before racing just to allow the cocks to see their hens on their return. The birds thereafter are managed around loft and race right through the Lanarkshire programme out to 450 miles.

The bird was a Staff van reet red Daniel lines from Stevie Farragher he purchased birds in 2019 to race as Robert doesn't keep stock pigeons and the winner is bred out of these lines.

This is the lofts second win in the Cambusnethan club.

Robert would like to thank Stevie for the winning lines

Well done to Robert and Bobby on a fabulous winner and congratulations Bobby winning race on your 74th Birthday

No other fanciers or club reports their winners this week!.

I have promoted this federation for many a year with plenty an hour spent on the computer and phone. But i feel the general apathy among fanciers is very sad and yous wonder why the sport is failing!.

I thank those that take the time to promote their clubs and support your federation!

This weeks GPS pigeon shows the bird coming up more to the west side of the country and then moving back east before entering into Scotland. Although this pigeon wasn't

up with the winners Its very interesting to see this information and invaluable as we hopefully progress with racing and race management. Thanks to Kevin Docherty for his work and all who have signed up for their birds to be monitored..
