This week’s winner records back to back wins for him in the Federation,l ast winning 1st, 2nd Open Lanarkshire Young Bird Open 2021 and this week 1st, 3rd, 21st, 28th with sixteen pigeons entered. A fabulous result from one of the up and coming stars of the sport in this area.
Lewis provided me with details of his winning pigeon. The winner Blue Cock "1433" was bred by his good friend Woodroffe Bros of Sunderland. The winners grandsire on the fathers side is a pigeon they call Granite. This pigeon topped the UNC section 4 and won a host of prizes. The grand dam on the sires side is a pigeon they call Sheila, she topped Sunderland & Dist federation four times and was one of their famous five the day they broke UNC record with five in the top ten Open.
1433 Dam is a great racer who's prizes include 3rd Open UNC arriving with combine winner. She is through the best of their Lambrecht and Heremans pigeons.
Lewis had full returns from his sixteen entries. He would like to thank Albert & Davie & Fred for their friendship and breeding the Federation winner.
The pigeon was sitting six days on eggs when basketed for the race.
Well done Lewis on a fantastic performance!
2nd, 43rd Open was Andrew McBurnie of Chryston club. Andrew’s pigeon recorded 1464 ypm and was a R/C bred by his good friend Dawson & Peacock of Plains farm, UNC.
Andrew sends his congratulations to Lewis saying pipped by a good pigeon, raced by a good fancier. Andrew had full returns from his thirteen entries. Well done Andrew on a top performance.
4rd, 5th, 16th, 57th 61st Open was D Sloan & Son of Airdrie club. Franny informed me his winner is a pure Frans Zwols pigeon. Sire from Border lofts and Dam form Formula 1 lofts. His second pigeon was a Lambrech out of a cock called "Steve Wonder" a prolific winner. His third pigeon was a Van den Bulk lines. Franny has these speed lines to hopefully compete at the highest level in the federation. Well done Franny and thanks for the details
Andy Eadie of Eadie & Kelly sent details that his winners this week are from Vanderabeele lines.
Excellent returns were reported across the Federation, long may it continue!
Next week see us back again at Wooler.
