The 1850 birds plus 16 crates from other organisation, birds were liberated at 0745 in a light west wind from Wooler YB2 16/07/2022 in Northumberland in North East England. The winner recorded a velocity of 1239 for Isaac Fairley of Shotts in the east side of the federation.

Isaac is a great character and was over the moon with his win when I contacted him. He stated he thought I was club mate/friend  Andy Eadie phoning him to take him for a pint for such a great win and pipping him to first in Cambusnethan/Morningside club.          Full report with Photos here

His winner was also bred by former club member Wullie Smart who only races one loft competition races. The winner was scheduled to go to Poland but was luckily for Isaac ended up in Shotts as a gift with eight others. Wullies stock is all one loft performance pigeons purchased for stock.

Isaac said two pigeons raced to the loft with one trapping immediately and the other hitting the roof and entering thereafter

.He said his second in the clock was his accumulated pigeon and if trapped first would have won this big money prize but you have to win race with accumulated pigeon to collect .

The draw back of ETS as he said he would have held off and collected the second bird first. This pigeon is a Fran Zwols from Hose of Aarden which was purchased 6 Fran Zwols 6 Jan Aardens. The second bird was 8th club last week and was motivated by sitting late eggs.

Well done Isaac on winning 1st sect,1st Open federation 1850 birds
